Last Friday night was the launch of ARTWEAR - an exhibition showcasing fashion as art form through the eyes of each artist. The Brunswick Street Gallery proved again why it is a hot spot for young and emerging artists, with the crowd swelling as the night unfolded. I was there to support friend and colleague, John Taklakolgou, who's ethereal netted dress made from the simple shower loofa, reminded me of the beach, drift wood, washed up nets, surf and sand - ultimately, my home of Byron Bay
Although I could only take a couple of hours out of my hectic work schedule to attend the event, the works on display were nourishing to my creative soul

Drag Me to Bingo

A growing archive of event posters I’ve designed for Buttery Chard’s Drag Queen Bingo - where camp meets Canva and every theme is a new visual playground. I draw inspiration directly from the queen herself and the show’s ever-changing themes: from flapper glam and Queen Bey’s  Cowboy Carter  to Christmas chaos and retro ‘80s realness. Each poster is created using Canva, guided by a strong intuitive eye for graphic detail - a skill I didn’t learn, but one I’ve always had. (That said, I’ve since paired my natural instincts with formal training in design elements and principles.)
