VAMFF - Instyle Runway

I felt incredibly grateful and proud to be photographed atMelbourne fashion week, wearing my own custom designs, while my one-year-old daughter was wearing her mini Rada Priya Designs, and carrying my second baby bump; it was a perfect blend of my dream job and motherhood.

VAMFF Runway presented by Miss Vogue

Once again Melbourne Fashion Festival did not disappoint - last night we attended Runway 1 presented by Miss Vogue. Although the main sponsor has changed from L'Oreal to Virgin Australia, and the set up was a little different, we still enjoyed the same buzz and inspo pulling experience as every other year. We actually had no plans to go (preoccupied as late with my new- and growing- family) but thanks to my girlfriend Dani for hooking up our tickets through David Jones Group. I was hesitant about taking my 18 month old, she came with us last year when she was only 6 months, but didn't come inside for the actual runway. Its dark, and the soundtracks are always mind numbing, body tingling, loud. Camilla & Marc, Scanlan Theodore and Bassike overwhelmed us with their black magic to a haunting theme tune, that had me on edge, but surprisingly Sahana found it enchanting and squealed and bopped her way though the fashion courses.  here's a snapshot of our evening Hopeful...

Fashion Festival First

Valentine's Day was very eventful this year - my beau proposed and we booked our entire wedding the same day! It has been the easiest event I have ever planned, which is lucky as raising our daughter is much more than a full time job.  We had planned to skip this year's Melbourne Fashion Festival, freshly changed to Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival , so when the girls threw me an impromptu Hen's night and chose The National Graduate Showcase runway to host us, it couldn't have been a more perfect. All my favourite girls and one of the most inspiring runways I have seen in a long time. I was so proud to find Sahana and her aunty favourites amongst the bloggers and photogs outside  full album on Facebook

Stellar start to the MSFW Designer Series that left me almost squealing with excitement! "Thank the fashion God for Spring 2012" I tweeted, as look after look graced the catwalk. 100 years of Wittner

Halleluja! Spring showed off today with a balmy 24, just in time for day 2 of MSFW. The day kicked off at City Square with the Wittner runway event. It was a must see for me, being quite the fan of the Melbourne born brand. With my favourite pair on foot, my legs came out of hibernation in this little leatherette number, a style from my current SS12 collection, for one very fun runway show. The models danced and shimmied down the runway, and it was hard to wipe the smile off my face. I met the lovely Leeyong from Style Wilderness  and got front row views of some serious shoe candy. I'm loving Isabel Marant sneakers at the moment, and Wittner has the best interpretation of the French label's famous style, and soon to be joining my Wittner collection :) My runway dates Drew & Jack

Electric Lounge Launch

Sucker punched by the flu! Melbourne Spring Fashion week is upon us again, and after the bitterest winter I can recall, the thought of taking the week off to enjoy the cities events during MSFW has kept me motivated and hard at work. Waking up with flu symptoms put a kink in my plans, and spent most of the morning in tears, a sort of tantrum like behaviour. Thankfully I have a supportive boyfriend to talk me off the ledge, so I switched to a more comfortable outfit than the one I had planned, and headed to Doncaster with my bestie for a night out all things fashion. Thank You to bloggers Phoebe of Lady Melbourne & Sarah of Style Melbourne for the fun event, and all the lovelies we met tonight. See you all next week at the runway shows!  Wearing H&M blouse & sweater / Palazzo wool crepe pant from my current SS12 collection / Midas heels / Witchery Belt More Pics Below   ☟

Spring Fashion Runway

Last night Stonnington displayed the first of the Spring collections by way of the annual Spring Fashion Runway. The evening was also to celebrate the Fashion Hall of Fame newest inductee Karen Webster We arrived fashionably late to the Malvern Town hall after attending the Sportsgirl event on Bourke St where the lovely Whitney Port was presenting her WE collection for the aussie label and answering our style questions.  Just in time for the runway, we were seated with the other bloggers, got to have a quick catch up with the lovely Micah of RAWW blog and met Chloe Ting in person The highlight was easily the girls of TETTMANNDOUST who's collection was a breath of fresh air with handmade silk garments with the most delicate and intricate patterns, almost ethereal with the sharpest of edge to it. I wore: Zara Blouse / Stradvarius Jeans / Rada Priya ss12 shell jacket / ASOS heels FULL POST BELOW

July Blues

We get it, its Winter, but these past 2 weeks has me questioning why we built a city in such an unfriendly climate, or why on earth I live here... but than today came and brought the sunshine, and it was liveable again. While out and about picking out fabric samples, I snapped these city scenes. I was in a pale blue and gold mood, and the city was my matching accessory Wearing Carla Zampatti coat I DIY'ed / Zara Knit / Stradivarius Jeans / Bata shoes

Today we went on a 2 for 1 Melbourne adventure. Armed with a handful of vouchers we boarded the 48 tram and headed for the cbd. Despite not technically having the time to take a day off, in the name of adventure Saci & I headed straight for the skydeck at Eureka tower. As you can see it was the start to a pretty perfect day   Read More  ☟
